My family was at Prien Lake Park (Lake Charles, LA) and our 2 1/2 year old son was playing. As you can see in the picture in the video below, a kid was playing right near him and kept exclaiming proudly (and loudly) that he was "gone slide down this strippa pole". The kid appeared to be 10 or 11.
I think it's sad that a 10 year old knows what a stripper pole (strippa pole) is. Where did he learn that? School? A book? TV? Home? Surely not a strip club! His parents likely to blame? I'm sure I'll get accused of something for suggesting that no one else is to blame except for the parents. Here's a quick video with more.

In our society, you can only protect your children for so long. Who's to say the boy even understands the concept of a strippa pole? I think it's impossible to make take this event alone and call it a microcosm even proof that society isn't living up to protective standards, but it's not a good sign.
